Bad Waitress

Lame Introduction
Hi! I wanted my first post to be an introduction of me. My name is unimportant as I may post things that may incriminate myself. I am a 3o something female from Sunny South Florida. The small "town" I grew up in was great, though at the time I thought differently. I grew up fishing, playing softball and basically was allowed to be a kid. Being an only child I was able to be alone but I was just as comfortable being the center of attention. My teen years were a blur of moving around, not feeling secure and at 16 I was alone.
I have survived and accomplished a few amazing things. My first born son is starting UF this summer and my daughter is a bright sunny 16 year old, she seems much older and I don't know how I feel about that.
So my major accomplisments in life are few. I've had a few careers, but I always end up in the restaurant/bar business. I do love to serve, though it gets very hard sometimes. I will probably write alot about the restaurant and the bar as I work 2 jobs in 2 very different establishments. Some restaurant stories are hillarious, but some seem fake and embellished to be more funny. There is enough great real material here, I promise. And I would love to hear from others, true stories about their experiences in the biz.
My biggest problem is I feel effected by peoples shortcomings. I have major pet peeves and I see many ways to improve on productivity and moral. Customers (Guests)often annoy me, and lazy co-workers piss me off, but on the flip side I am happily surprised by people with well behaved children (and I tell them so), and I have had young co-workers tell me I should be a motivational speaker. I really just want a medium to express some of what is in my head. So it doesn't fester...
If anyone reads it awesome. If someone likes it...Even better.

The Randomness that is My Life & Thoughts: My rant for the day/Tipping Tutorial

livehardiepretty:

Some people are under the impression that you don’t have to tip bartenders the same way you tip servers. Those people would be incorrect. Bartenders work very hard and alot of times are not appreciated. We make the same $2-something an hour that servers make, please remember that. Our wages depend…
